We provide support for older children young people with low level mental health issues and behavioural problems to the most vulnerable who have suffered severe trauma in their lives.
Counselling - 'one-to-one' sessions providing solution focussed support.
Mentoring - the majority of this support is via our mentoring programme that is offered through our BIG lottery funded projects, Securing Futures and Families in Crisis and through 'commissioned' work from local authority departments. Through this programme the young person is assigned a highly skilled and experienced 'mentor' who provides therapeutic support in order to achieve set goals, which have a positive impact on their lives.
Wellbeing (Mentoring) Clubs - our wellbeing clubs offer young people the opportunity to engage with our staff and their peers, with the aim of improving their self confidence, increasing their resiliency, reducing their stress and anxiety. Support is available on a number of topics such as 'exam stress', 'online safety', 'healthy relationships' and so on. Through the clubs the young people can also access our accredited training programme.
LAC programme - we have devised a specialist support programme to help young people whilst they are in care, and also as to support them to make a positive transition to independent living. This support is given through a designated LAC mentoring club, as well as 'one-to-one' mentoring and counselling support for those who need more intensive therapeutic support.
Online support - we have created a specialist 'interactive support gateway' which allows the young people we work with access to our support resources whenever they need it as well as direct online support from our team.
