We are committed to rigorously measuring all of the work we carry out with children and their families, ensuring that we can see what difference we are making, as well as what improvements we can make to our services.
Each of our wellbeing projects and services, uses the same measuring tools in order to ensure consistency, and each one enables an assessment to be made of the child’s (and their parents/carers) behavioural, social and emotional wellbeing.
The measuring tools we use
Family Outcomes Star
Revised Children's Anxiety & Depression Scale (RCADS)
Strength & Difficulties Questionnaire (SDQ)
Young Person's Core
Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMWBS)
These tools are completed by the child and parent/carer with the support and assistance of our staff, which depending on the tool, will be Case Managers, Family Support Workers, Child Therapists, and/or Mentors. Parental consent is always obtained before the tools are completed with the child.
This data is then collated and analysed in order for us to monitor the difference we are making for the benefit of our funders, our partners, our referrers, ourselves, and most importantly, the children and their families.
